Bakdes 2019

BAKDES 2019

From the title "Bakdes", you probably wonder what kind of activity is that?? So i'm gonna tell you about one of my best experiences that i feel until now. My school, SMA Negeri 3 Bandung made and held an activity to increase our care also social responsibility toward people around us by serving a village. Bakdes was held on 3rd until 5th January 2019. It was held in Kertasari village that is located in Cibeureum sub-district, Bandung regency. This place actually located in the plateau of supthern Bandung so the temperature and condition is very suitable for farming and gardening.

Our transportation to go there is angkot or public transportation. Actually the road didn't have any traffic jam at all but because the distance is over 30 km it took 2 and half hours to get there. During the trip, we talked to each other, joking about something, even wondered what were we gonna do there. After that we arrived at the village hall for opening ceremony. We met the chief from Kertasari Village and our teacher. Then, we met our foster family not far from the village hall. Their name is Mr. Asep and Mrs. Elis. They are very kind and welcome to us because their house often used for activities similar to Bakdes but from another school even universities for research. There we ate a lot of traditional foods such as chicken soup, fried peanut and the taste was very good. Our activities in there was helping our foster family to fried foods and cleaned their stuff because our foster family is a food seller. We also interact with our foster family and kids around our foster family house.

There are some interesting places we visited. One of them is point zero of Citarum River where Citarum river started. Beside that we also visited the legendary tea factor. Our transportation was an open truck. The places that we visited has a litlle cold temperature and fortunatelly that time that place did'nt get rained. Last day in Kertasari i was sad because there are lots of memories from my foster family so i took photos with my foster family as reminiscences and Mr. Asep gave his phone number so we can visit them again next time we go to Kertasari village. I will remember this moment forever as sweet memories interact with other people.
